Putting up a fight show with Justin Lo on the streets of Hong Kong, the king of pop Gary Chow stayed away from the spotlight for over tens days after the public outcry. He appeared at a commercial performance yesterday at Kunming, appearing slightly fatter. But his singing abilities did not get affected and the every member of the audience gave him loud applauses. Gary, who was filled with remorse, started the performance with “Please guide me along”. His humbleness showed that he will cherish every chance he gets to go on stage. Wearing a white T-shirt, Gary waved and smiled as he got on stage. He said, “Recently, many people told me ‘You cannot be unhappy’, so everyone must be happy tonight.” He sang “Mr Lonely”, “Superman” and many other love ballads. When he reached the song “Palm lines”, tears filled his eyes. He said in a voice filled with emotions, “When I wrote this song back then, I felt that it was to be given to people who had done wrong things a chance to turn over a new leaf. Now I need that chance.” Through his powerful performance and the remorseful attitude, he won the forgiveness of the fans present. Gary also played games with his fans and learnt the Kunming dialect on the spot. Affected by the happy mood at the show, he did a pose of him wanting to fly down the stage, causing the tension of the crowd to rise. The mainland fans gave strong support to their idol, saying, “Humans are not saints. Besides, he has already apologised after the incident. We will continue to support him.” Gary will head for Canada for a fan meeting after the Kunming performance, in a bid to win back the public’s hearts through his passion for work. Source: UDN |
