Faye Wong performed at CCTV’s New Year Gala, singing the song ‘Legend’. Aside from her sought-after performance, another highlight of the night came from newly regrouped Taiwanese boy band, Little Tigers Team, consisting of Alec Su, Nicky Wu and Julian Chen. Netizens complimented Faye on her performance, saying her singing was as captivating as ever. The 3D effects also enhanced her charisma on stage. Some fans were questioning if Faye was lip-synching, as her voice was just too perfect. However, according to insider information, CCTV added extra effects to enhance her performance along with the 3D effects.

Eason also attended the gala event in Beijing on New Years Eve. Before the performance, he had New Years Eve dinner with Faye. Both of them exchanged red pockets for their daughters and wished each other good health. Eason has taken part in the event for the past four years. He expressed that he feels lucky to ring in the New Year in Beijing, however he will be returning to Hong Kong immediately afterwards. He will be resuming work on the fourth day of the New Year (Feb 17th) to prepare for his concert in March.

As Eason and Faye share the same manager, Katie Chan, they are quite familiar with each other. He expressed that he’s excited for a new Faye album. As for Faye’s concert this year? He said that it’ll be great news and that her fans will be thrilled.
