BoA has undergone a dramatic image change, when she had cut her long, trade-mark hair, showing her grown self as a woman. “Today is the last performance of this tour, and I will give my best to make this a splendid performance for all of you!” the singer had shouted towards the audience seats. At the Tokyo International Forum, she had performed songs like “BUMP BUMP!feat.VERBAL(m-flo)”, “Possibility duet with Miura Daichi” among others as part of her final performance of her “BoA LIVE TOUR 2010 -IDENTITY-” – it had been roughly two years since her last one in Japan.

On the tour, which succeeded her album release, BoA commented: “More than ever, have I been involved in the whole production process as well as the lyrics. Right now I am showing you my IDENTITY with this very important and rather adventurous album. Because there is this great trust between me and the fans, I believe that you will support me with my next challenges as well!”

BoA, South Korea’s top pop star, has embarked on a full-blown promotion tour of her songs through American radio broadcasts.

Following her visit to WDRE, a radio broadcaster in Long Island, Wednesday, BoA plans to visit famed radio broadcasters in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Florida, Orlando, Miami and Seattle, according to Yonhap News.

While visiting broadcasters, she will have a string of interviews with famous DJs and introduce “I Did It For Love,” the flagship song of her U.S. debut album entitled “BoA,” and other songs.

Given that the radio is a key publicity means in the U.S. pop world, the forthcoming radio tour will serve a good occasion for BoA, 22, to get closer to fans in the world’s largest album market.

Meanwhile, the music video of “I Dit It For Love,” directed by Joseph Kahn, has been unveiled at BoA’s official Web site (www.boaamerica.com) and other American Web sites, Yonhap said. Kahn had made promos for Britney Spears, Chris Brown and Eminem and won the Best Video of the Year and Best Direction at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.

BoA released her U.S. album on March 17 amid high expectations that she will be able to reenact her success story in Japan in the United States.

The album contains 11 songs including “I Did It For Love” and dance tracks “Energetic,” “Eat You Up,” and “Look Who’s Talking.”

BoA’s album ranked 127th on the Billboard 200 Album Charts announced on March 26. It was the first time that a Korean singer had entered the Billboard chart.

Singer BoA, 22, celebrated the nationwide release of her American debut album, “Best & USA” (titled “BoA” in the U.S.), with a special concert on Monday night at Shin-kiba’s Studio Coast in Tokyo’s Edogawa Ward.

The album, which was released in both Japan and America on March 18, hit 127 on the Billboard Chart stateside, but the young singer stated she wasn’t interested in the numbers, commenting, “More than that, it’s really hard speaking English on the radio and at events in the U.S. Also, every two weeks, I’m going back and forth between here and there, and the jet lag really wears me out.”

In all, the album features nine songs, including the English track, “Eat You Up.”

She’s no pretty wallflower. In fact, she is a tomboy and that’s exactly what BoA wants to show everyone as she debuts in America.

The 23-year-old told LA Weekly, “I never tried to be sexy. You know, most people say that Asian or female artists should be sexy in America, but I don’t think that I have to be like that.

“I have a tomboy style. My choreography is not that way. So, I want to focus on my music style to match the choreography, which is really cool. No girls can dance those moves. I try to make them really fresh.”

The singer/dancer will be performing at Universal City Walk on Saturday (March 21) at 6.30pm. There will also be a meet-and-greet session for 125 people.

Korean pop star BoA will release her first English-language album in 10 countries starting March 17.

Beginning with the United States, the album will be released in countries including Korea, Japan, China and Singapore.

The singer’s first international album includes title song, “I Did It For Love,” plus “Energetic” and U.S. debut single “Eat You Up” which has already been unveiled. “Look Who’s Talking,” in which Britney Spears participated as composer and co-songwriter, is one of the featured songs.

Well-known artists including Sean Garrett, Brian Kennedy and Toby Gad took part in producing BoA’s new album.

BoA was recently chosen as one of the 20 Next Generation Asia by entertainment magazine Hollywood Reporter.

Korean singer BoA, 23, recently held a listening party, where fans and friends listened to the artist’s latest single, at the Microsoft Zune Loft in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

She sang “I Did It for Love,” a single off her U.S. album, “Eat You Up,” live for the first time in public and showcased a teaser of the music video, directed by Korean-American Joseph Kahn, who shot Britney Spears’ videos for “Toxic” and “Stronger” and the Pussycat Dolls’ “When I Grow Up.”

Her first U.S. album will be released next Tuesday, with subsequent releases in Korea and Japan.

It has been known that Britney Spears have took part in the composing of song ‘Look who’s talking’ off BoA’s 1st American album set to release on 17th March, together with Christian Karlsson, Pontus Winnberg, Henrik Jonback and Michelle Lynn Bell.

BoA has been a very busy girl with all her activities in Japan and her recent activities in America with the upcoming release of her American album on March 17th. Now she’s going to head back to Japan to film for Music Station, she must be tired from all this traveling back and forth.

It was exciting know that TVXQ was going to be on Music Station. Now, it’s going to be even more exciting to see TVXQ and BoA on the same show, the last time we saw that was at the 2008 SBS Gayo Daejeon awards.

Korean pop singer BoA is ready to invade America with her self-titled first English studio album, which is planned to be dropped on March 17 in U.S., Korea and Japan. In getting the record done, she works with U.S. and Asian hit-makers to bring a unique blend of chart topping hits to the table.

After the album’s first single “Eat You Up”, which was produced by Henrik Jonback, hit the market in October 2008, BoA is gearing up to launch her brand new single “I Did It For Love”, which features Sean Garrett. She has also filmed a music video for the track in Los Angeles with Joseph Kahn serving behind the lens.

Beside Sean Garrett, top-notched producers Brian Kennedy and Bloodshy & Avant have also been tapped to help BoA making music for the effort. Brian Kennedy, who previously helped Rihanna recording “Disturbia”, will step behind production table for BoA’s single “Obsessed”, while Bloodshy & Avant, the mastermind behind Britney Spears and Madonna’s smash hits, will produce two other tracks called “Did Ya” and “Touched”.
