In new film “La Comédie Humaine,” Chapman To has a different kind of performance with Wong Cho Lam. Besides having “bed scenes” with Cho Lam, Chapman also showed up topless, trying to fight against the popular “lang mo.” In the film, the two have a close and ambiguous relationship. Chapman said: “Because the scene is about I fainted due to a fever, he saved me and brought me home, he helped me to take off my shirt, releasing some heat, he also applied medicated oil on me and fed me congee.” Asked his feelings of filming bed scene with Cho Lam, he said: “Not embarrassed, just two men. It’s good that during filming he didn’t do ‘Fun With Liza and Gods’ yet, didn’t have Angelababy this pretty look, otherwise I really afraid I would have physiological reactions.” Looking at his chest measurement, it’s not bad compared to lang mo, he said: “After I quit smoking, I did get fatter, but doctor said I’m healthy and it’s normal.”

TVB held the costume fitting for new series, Female Fist <女拳> starring Liu Xuan, Bosco Wong Chung Chak, Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming, Fala Chen, and John Chiang Dai Wai.

In Female Fist, John Chiang will play the role of master arts master, Wong Fei Hung. Since the characterization is more relaxed and strays from previous portrayals by Kwan Tak Hing and Jet Li, John felt a measure of anxiety. He has been preparing two months for the physical requirements for this role.

Olympics gymnast, Liu Xuan, will be filming for TVB for the first time, with production commencing in July. Liu Xuan found it amusing that her wooden clogs, which make a clacking noise, announce her presence to the production crew. She fell sick for a full month earlier. Being exposed to the sun for a lengthy time makes her feel nauseous as well. The weather in Hong Kong and Beijing are very different and Liu Xuan is having difficulty adjusting to Hong Kong ’s humidity.

Fala Chen’s character resembles deceased actress, Dik Na’s, assertive and strong personality. In Female Fist, Fala will not have any sexy performances. Since this is a fictional character and does not bear any parallels to Dik Na’s life, Fala did not feel any pressure.

Rosamund Kwan hasn’t appear that much on the movie screen these years. Lately she attended to a legal aid service fund event in Mainland. Besides donated two million to the fund, she also officially announced her retirement from showbiz. During the event, she expressed she filmed more than 100 films since her debut: “I tried almost all types of character. As an actress, I think I passed.” Rosamund said earlier many people approached to her about filming, but she rejected them all: “From now on I don’t think I would film any film.” Already a rich woman, she has been working hard for charity.
A Korean pop concert held yesterday at the Expo Culture Center caused something of a stampede – reports of how bad it got vary, from the Epoch Time’s rumor that someone died to Shanghai Daily’s blithe announcement that the streets were “blocked by fans.”

This event was a warning about the power of K-pop: South Korea had planned a “classical and pop” concert that included insanely huge acts – Kangta, BoA and Super Junior, whose Shanghai shows sell out at 10,000+ seated stadiums each year they come. They’re so insanely huge that it almost makes you wonder what organizers were thinking when they arranged that show.

To get in, all you supposedly had to do was get an Expo ticket and line up at the center, an act which, if you’re a student, costs 90RMB. That’s less than the Super Junior 2009 show’s ticket prices at Yuan Shen Sports Center, where the cheapest you could get in for was 480RMB. Unfortunately, there were only 5000 tickets available, and half of those had already been given to South Korean groups – a fact that eager Chinese K-pop fans hadn’t been made aware of.

By midnight on Saturday, according to Lianhe Zaobao, there were already 2000 people waiting outside the Expo’s Pudong door. Night watch people were blindsided. By the time the limited amount of tickets sold out (The Standard reports there were less than 500), roughly 5000 people were waiting around.

When the crowd realized all tickets were gone, they began to get violent. A witness on the internet said that “several girls were stepped on and over by several guys. So messy, so messy, All the crying and yelling turned into one big wave. There were so many shoes. One girl even fell from the second floor.” The original post has already been harmonized on Tianya. Lianhe says the rumor that this girl died hasn’t been confirmed, though Hong Kong’s Apple Daily seems to be reporting it as fact.

What they both agree on is that hundreds of people were injured, whether from the pushing and shoving or from heatstroke. The Expo official report itself said that “In the event, several tourists suffered from heatstroke and abrasions and were rushed to nearby medical facilities at the park.”

BEIJING, May 29 — Jay Chou, Taiwan’s pop king, will sing the theme song for Jet Li’s new movie “Ocean Heaven.” It will be their second collaboration since Chou sang for Li’s 2006 movie “Fearless.” Guey Lunmei, Taiwan’s star and leading actress in the movie will also sing for the movie.

Dubbed as Jet Li’s first non-action work in his career, the movie tells a touching story between a father and his only son. When the father finds out that he is terminally ill, he decides to teach his only son, who is autistic, to live on his own.

Though viewed as a non-mainstream piece, it has attracted a group of big names to take part, including Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi and award-winning cinematographer Christopher Doyle.

Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) wrote in her blog at 2:30am yesterday morning that her relative is in hospital. She wrote “Hate the hospital! Hate that smell! Hate the freezing cold light! Hate myself looking at my loved one lying in sick bed and here is nothing I can do about it. I am scared of what lies ahead.”

After 20 minutes, Ah Sa wrote another message “The tree wants to keep still, but the wind keeps on blowing. The son wants to take care of the parents, but they are not there anymore! I regret not having to say “I love you” to my loved one everyday. I regret not seeing them more often and I regret not to show that I care about them”. Ah Sa urges her fans to take action, and start telling their loved ones “I love you.”

Miss Sit, spokeperson from the Emperor has confirmed that one of Ah Sa’s relative is very ill in hospital. But she refused to disclose who it is. She only emphasised that it is not Ah Sa’s parents. She went on to say Ah Sa was told that her relative is very ill in hospital the other day, and she is very upset. The rcompany has arranged for her to stay with her relative in hospital. They have rescheduled her work for the next few days.

Raymond Cho Wing Lim and Mok Ho Yan attended an event held by the Society for Abandoned Animals (SAA) with their children in Yuen Long. Raymond and Ho Yan were present for the grand opening of the animal medical centers. Raymond’s son, Brandon, and Ho Yan’s one-year-old daughter, clasped their hands and played together. From the event, Raymond hoped that Brandon can learn how to love animals.

Entering his “terrible-two’s” stage, Brandon has presented troubles recently. Raymond’s one-year-old Shih Tzu dog recently bit Brandon near the corner of his eye. Apparently, Brandon may have instigated the dog first, tempting it to attack in defense. Also when Raymond was trying to remove the mucous in Brandon’s nose earlier, he accidentally caused his son’s nose to bleed.

Earlier, Raymond revealed that the two-year and five-month-old Brandon has already attended school for half a year. As for Brandon’s talents, Raymond said that he has great public relations skills. Each time Brandon spotted family members, he would go to kiss and cuddle them. Asked whether Raymond wished his son to enter the entertainment industry, Raymond said, “I do not want him to. Let’s wait for him to finish school first.”

Raymond also joked that he often let his son watch his television series. When Brandon saw Raymond sharing intimate scenes with other women onscreen, Brandon will pat his mother, Elaine Chiang (daughter of John Chiang and Lee Lum Lum) and ask her to watch the scenes. Raymond found Brandon’s gestures amusing.

Due to the airing of Fly With Me <飛女正傳>, Raymond’s popularity has peaked recently. His portrayal of the attentive “Siu Nam Yan” (little man) was endearing and close to his real life personality. Raymond’s subsequent transformation into a villain in Fly With Me also attracted audience’s notice.

Donnie Yen’s character from “Yip Man” is now available in a wax figure in HK Madame Tssauds wax museum. Yesterday he attended to the opening ceremony. Wife Cecilia Wang came to support with her parents, sister, and cousin. Donnie felt the eyes resembled the best.

Donnie’s “Yip Man 2″ has a box office of 3,720,000HKD (opening day) and is so far his best selling film in one day. He is very satisfied with the box office. First installment has box office around one million in its opening day, this time is the triple.

He said since it has a good box office, he will definitely invite others to dinner. He also hope it will exceed 40 million and boss Raymond Wong will pay everyone a trip to Japan. He stressed earlier that he won’t film a 3rd installment, now the sequel has a good outcome, will he reconsider? He expressed he won’t because there’s not much new elements he can add to the character. Also too many people portray the same character, like “Wong Fei Hung” before, which turned out pretty bad in the end. He won’t be like other people. Foreign film “Iron Man 2″ will open today and asked is he confident in beating “IM2?” Donnie said it’s hard to say, “YM2″ has good word-of-mouth, Mainland viewers said it surpassed the first one. He said: “Decide who will win or go home, which one is more important? Of course I’ll pick the latter one.”
