Today, the dates of VAMPS US tour were announced. The popular duo will be performing on the east and west coast, for a total of ten dates, starting in New York, on July 11th and ending with a performance on August 1st in Los Angeles.

Super Junior will have an encore Seoul concert.

On January 3rd and 4th of next year, Super Junior will hold their “Super Junior The 1st ASIA TOUR-SUPER SHOW ENCORE” at the Seoul Olympic Park Fencing Stadium.

This concert will be an encore to this year’s past “Super Junior The 1st ASIA TOUR-SUPER SHOW” on February 22-24 (3 days) at the Seoul Olympic Park Fencing Stadium.

Meanwhile, on November 22 they will perform on the stage in Shanghai, China for their “Super Junior The 1st ASIA TOUR-SUPER SHOW in Shanghai.”

Fans are at war trying to obtain tickets to Lee Hyori’s upcoming solo concert.

Due to big businesses buying tickets in bulks, all tickets to Hyori’s first solo concert quickly sold out on the 6th and 7th of November. Many of her fans were not able to get a ticket and are asking for a way to purchase some. In addition, fans and other big businesses have stated that they are willing to purchase a few thousand tickets and are requesting multiple solo concerts from Hyori.

Reunited rock band X Japan has once again changed its concert plans. The group was scheduled to perform a show in Paris on November 22, but it has now been postponed until next year. Two Christmas concerts at the Saitama Super Arena on December 24 and 25 have also been pushed into 2009.

X Japan had planned to kick off its world tour with the Paris show this month. The band has already partnered with Azoff Management and Filament Inc., and they are finalizing a deal with promotion company AEG. However, the management companies decided that it would be best to revise X Japan’s global strategy, postponing the world tour until next year. The group is still scheduled to perform a countdown concert to kick off the new year, and the 2009 concerts in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taiwan, and Korea will reportedly go on as scheduled.

X Japan’s new strategy will have the back-to-back Saitama concerts replaced with a full nationwide tour in Japan next spring. The band will also expand their efforts in Europe – a new Paris concert will be scheduled, along with additional shows in Northern Europe, starting with Sweden.

More specific details will be announced in the future as the band’s plans are finalized.

Singer Lee Hyori will be holding her first ever solo concert, 10 years after her debut, on 20th December in Seoul JamSil Stadium. And the extravagant sum of 300 million won of production cost for her concert has got people talking.

It was announced on 31st October that Hyori has requested for the best concert stage, costumes and system, and which the production company then quoted the high cost of 300 million won.

Hyori has also promised to show fans that she is the performing queen of the Kpop realm

Korea’s hottest female group Wonder Girls will hold their first solo concert. This will be the first solo concert given by a female idol group since 2000.

An official with JYP Entertainment announced that the five-member group will perform in a 5,000-seat venue sometime in February 2009. More details on the date and venue will be released later.

The last female idol group to hold a solo concert was S.E.S. in 2000. There had been a number of female idol groups since S.E.S. and Fin.KL, but none had attempted to hold a solo concert, because they lacked the ticket-drawing power compared to male groups.

However, Wonder Girls created a storm in the Korean music industry by releasing a hit after hit. Last year’s “Tell Me” was followed by this year’s “So Hot” and “Nobody,” which motivated Wonder Girls and JYP Entertainment to take a chance with a solo performance. They were further emboldened by their experience as a special guest in Park Jin-young’s concert in the U.S. earlier this year. The spokesperson for Wonder Girls said that the five girls are very excited about the opportunity and hard at work to prepare for the next year’s show.

The Chinese mainland pop diva Zhang Liang Ying announced on Monday the launch of her Beijing-Shanghai concert tour at the year end, the sina.com reported.

The singer, acclaimed for her cool imitation of Mariah Carey’s high voice, made the announcement in Beijing.

Zhang Liangying, under the Huayi Brothers, a mainland entertainment giant, is scheduled to hold her solo concert in Beijing on Dec.6 and in Shanghai on Dec. 13.

In addition to her latest singles, the singer will also perform movie theme hits sung by her, including the theme song for box office hit “Painted Skin” which rolled into the cinema a few weeks ago.

The pop icon will also release her new album during the two-stop tour.

Singer Kumi Koda, 25, this week held a concert at Studio Coast in Shinkiba for some 2,400 fans. Koda sang 18 songs and danced in sexy costumes. She sang her latest song “Taboo” for the first time during the concert as well as announcing the release of another new song “Stay With Me” on Dec 10.

Koda is slowly making a comeback after a self-imposed exile earlier this year following her remarks on a radio program in which she said that “women over 35 had ‘rotten’ fluid in their wombs.”
