SNSD fans’ love for others.

It’s been made public that SNSD fans, along with the celebrities they like, have been helping the elderly and unfortunate children by donating every month from hundred thousands to millions of won to charity.

Since its early beginning, the members of SNSD’s naver fancafe ‘Cistus’ have been gathering donations monthly to help the elderly as well as children in need. Adding to the welfare services they’ve done and the delivered contributions given to charity, the total donations are over 5,000,000 won. Furthermore, from donations gathered now through the fancafe will be used to help children’s foundations, too.

One of the SNSD fans that contributed to this cause (ID ‘Jooinchangook’), left a message in SNSD’s fancafe the last 6th around midnight, saying; “Some time ago, Cistus members donated 1,900,000 won to a children’s foundation, and in order to give hope to those in need they’ve been donating regularly to charity,” giving fans a lasting impression and encouraging participation. Also, he uploaded some pictures of the deed, in which they promise to donate regularly.

Cistus members are systematizing the fancafe in order to make the increasing contributions easier to manage, and from now on the gathered donations will be sent regularly every month to charity.

The girls posted a photo on 3rd April with them posing with the 9 trophies they won with the song ‘Gee’.

From parodies of ‘Boys Over Flowers’ to SNSD’s ‘Gee’ have been dominating the variety sections of the 3 companies.

The girls of SNSD have been at their peak of fame also. Yoona starred in: SBS ‘Family Outing’ on the 22nd, MBC ‘Sunday Sunday Night’ and ‘Uh Muh Nah’. She has also starred in SBS ‘Best Friend’s Note’ and also on ‘SangSang Plus, Season 2′ with fellow members Sooyoung, Yuri and Tiffany.

Especially SNSD’s ‘Gee’ MV has been playing constantly in each of the 3 companies. ‘Infinity Challenge (Muhan Dojhun)’ has created a parody of ‘Gee’ with the concept of “Going Green and Saving Energy” while SBS’s ‘Gold Miss is Coming’ members, Jang Yoonjung, Shin Bongsun, and Jin Jaeyoung came up with a parody with the concept of “Blind Date”. MBC’s new daily sitcom, ‘Taehee, Hyegyo and Jihyun’ also used a parody of ‘Gee’ as part of their program.

There have been numerous opinions on the overflow of parodies by authoritative figures of the broadcast companies stating that, “Such parodies do not promise any permanent advertising during the recently economic crisis.
Some have even gone as far as to call these parodies to have no positive benefits and set rewards/goals.

However, there has also been optimistic rebuttals. One PD stated, “These days, it doesn’t matter if an item is repeated multiple times, the only thing that matters is, who can come up with something more creative. If there is an item that is promising, its only right to optimize the use of it.”

2009 music world’s hot-shot girl groups SNSD and Kara’s talk show showdown is unfolding.

SNSD and Kara recorded for MBC’s <Yoo Jaesuk and Kim Wonhee’s Come to Play> on the 11th for a special “preparing to be female idols” episode. SNSD, who swept the music world with <Gee>, and Kara, who are rising to the top with continuing hits like <Pretty Girl> and <Honey>, starred on the show together, making it seem like a showdown was unfolding.

Jung Hyung Don had to do “husband test” in SNSD’s dorm

The first episode with the new couple Jung Hyung Don and So Nyuh Shi Dae’s Kim Taeyeon on MBC’s “Sunday Sunday Night”’s popular show “We Got Married” will be revealed soon.

After Jung Hyung Don got his mission to go and find his new bride, he was been taken to the SNSD dorm to successfully complete his mission.

At first, Jung Hyung Don didn’t know his bride would be much younger than him but then he realized it after he had arrived at SNSD’s dorm and all 8 members welcomed him. When he knew that his bride would be a SNSD member, he was embarrassed and his face got red.

SNSD and Jung Hyung Don spend the whole day together. Jung Hyung Don’s mission was to find his new bride among the members but the SNSD members wanted to test him first – to see if he would be a good husband or not.

Jung Hyung Don wanted to show that he wasn’t lazy or selfish in the past – but in the end, he got tired of SNSD’s “husband test” and broke down.

Although he spent the whole day searching for his new bride, he didn’t notice her and thus disappointed the staff with his behaviour.

After revealing his bride, they had to choose whether they wanted the marriage or not.

Jung Hyung Don’s and SNSD’s Taeyeon’s first episode will be broadcasted on the 25th, at 6 pm in the “WGM New Year Special”.

Korean Idol SNSD has recently announced their comeback and returned to the live stages once again with Kissing U live performances to help promote their comeback.

It seems the work has been too hatic for one member in Particular, Lee Sunny, niece music mobile Lee Soo Man. Earlier this year she canceled some solo performances due to an injured back. Just yesteday she finally collapsed in her dressing room and was taken to the hospital.

People waiting for Girls’ Generation / SNSD new album that was rumored to be released this month will have to wait some more. According to various sources on soshified (bug / soy), SNSD own member Sooyoung confirmed this when she said the new album is coming out in early 2009 at the DokDoSarang concert. So why would the album be delayed again?

The main speculation on the reason for the delay being that SNSD wouldn’t be eligible for any of the awards of 2009 if they released the album now. In addition, some of the groups such as Big Bang will be taking a break during that time frame.

SNSD released their repackage album “Baby Baby” on March. Ever since then, they haven’t released their new album for 8 months. In between, Taeyeon sang OST songs “If” and “Can you hear me” for drama “Hong Gildong” and “Beethoven Virus” respectively. However, there has been many posts in SNSD fansites about when SNSD will come back. Since SNSD’s ‘Into the New World’, ‘Girl’s Generation’, and ‘Baby Baby’ have gained widespread popularity and won 1st place in various music programs, there’s a high expectation for their upcoming new album.

Knowing fans’ high expectation for their come back, probably, SNSD are working even harder to enhance the quality of their new album.

Meanwhile, SNSD’s Yoona and Sooyoung were accepted by Donggook University and Central University
respectively; they will be a college student next year.

At Soowon peformance, Fans noticed that Sunny seemed to be in pain; she hurt her back. Nobody knows what exactly happened. Fortunately, she was feeling better at Chunjun performance. However, she still couldn’t do waves and stuff.
