| 2 May 2009 | Water girl films MV; Amber Kuo’s new hair colour washes outCategory: News |
Yesterday was the official release date for Amber Kuo’s new album <Love Imagining> and the second song from the album, <Are You There> was also released. In order to maintain her “Water Girl” nickname, Amber Kuo suffered a lot to film this MV, soaking in the cold artificial rain, falling in mud, even her newly dyed hair washed out and lost its colour. Simultaneously rushing the filming of movie <First Page Taipei> and the MVs for her new album, Amber Kuo did not feel like she was suffering at all. Instead, she was extremely ecstatic about releasing an album after two years. Lately, Amber Kuo has brought out her powers as the new favourite star for advertisements, endorsing candy, cosmetics, Mother’s Day jewellery among other products. These ads have been broadcasted non-stop on television and her recording company has felt her money-making popularity. On May 4, they will spend close to $1 million for the “Water Girl”s album launch press conference. Even though she’s the company’s precious star, Amber Kuo had to suffer while filming her MVs. In the first MV <The Moon That’s Round Again> the director requested that she crouch in the ice-cold ocean waters at Danshuei’s seaside. In mid-April when she filmed the MV for <Are You There> she had to face the cold yet again. By the lakeside in the mountain ranges, the director requested perfection, filming her completely drenched in the artificial rain eight times and even wanted her to fall in the mud heaps. Even her junior He Wei Jian 何維健 who also acted in the MV felt heartbroken watching her. He even volunteered to run through the mountains to the only cafe there, to buy hot ginger tea for his senior to drink. Halfway through filming, Amber’s hair started dripping in orange. It turned out that she had re-dyed her hair at the hairdresser’s that morning and it had washed out from getting wet. Seeing that she couldn’t save her hair, she found joy in her sorrows saying, “I look like I’ve been soaked in orange soda!” Source: UDN |
